Finally met this annoying virus. According to my rapid test, anyway. Double checked with another brand just to make sure.
Restrictions have been relaxed for awhile; I was still being careful in crowded places but not quite as much with people I knew... some would even chastise me "Why are you wearing a mask?...you don't have to..."
But what with 2 vaccines and a booster, plus the apparent evolution of the virus over time to a milder version, it hasn't been too bad. Definitely not as bad as colds and flus I've had in the past. I am on day 3 of isolation in my room. My son also has it and he is in his room. The girls have the run of the house--so far they haven't caught it somehow. Here is how I *think* it all happened:
Last week: probable exposure - likely Thursday (hard to say - a lot of people in the area have caught Covid recently)
Sunday - allergy symptoms - took a test, all clear
Tuesday - more allergy symptoms - took a test, all clear
Wednesday - minor sore throat - decided to stay home just in case, moved one meeting to virtual
Thursday morning - took a test, positive.
Thursday - isolate in room - felt fine other than minor cold symptoms
Friday - isolate in room - small headache (cold/flu style), felt fine otherwise
Saturday (today) - feel pretty good although a cough has started
I will isolate Sunday as well, then I figure it's 5 days since symptoms started so I'll liberate myself from my room, wear a mask, and get back to it...unless of course I still have symptoms.
Going a little stir crazy in my room. Maybe I'll make a music video today. I have gone outside a bit too, but not much.
